Meet Dr. Keydotta “Key” Crawford
Dr. Key brings over 20 years of wide-ranging HR experience to KeyHR Insights, LLC, blending her extensive expertise with a genuine passion for building workplaces where both employees and businesses can flourish. As a dedicated wife and proud #teamboymom to three boys, she knows firsthand the importance of balancing priorities and nurturing growth—whether at home or in the workplace.
Her academic journey reflects her commitment to understanding people and organizations. She earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Rider University, with minors in Social Work and Gender and Sexuality Studies, followed by a Master’s in Human Resources. She completed her educational journey with a Doctorate in Business Administration focusing on solutions that drive meaningful workplace change.
KeyHR Insights was born out of Dr. Key’s firsthand experience witnessing the profound impact inadequate total rewards and benefits have on employees. Seeing how gaps in compensation, benefits, and workplace culture affect employees’ mental, physical, and spiritual well-being—and ultimately their work quality—ignited her mission to help organizations create better environments.
Dr. Key specializes in supporting small businesses by focusing on employee well-being, total rewards strategies, including compensation and benefits, and fostering psychological safety. Her approach emphasizes the direct connection between valuing employees and achieving organizational success.
